Is there a limit for ships and units?

The ongoing game Andromeda can't process the latest turn. The reason seems to be an attack by one player on another in a warp point totalling 1200 ships and 5000+ fighters. Has the game become to big??

There are limits for the number of ships and the number of units in space. These can be set by the game owner when he sets the game up, but can't be changed after the first turn. The upper limit is 20000 of each. There is no specific limit for the number of fighters you can have in cargo, other then the amount of cargo space you can possibly have.

Your game is probably able to run, but it's just taking a long time. PBW has a limit of 20 minutes to process turns. If a turn takes longer than that to run because of huge battles or whatever, the game owner can run the turn offline and upload the resulting turn to the site. I have a game I am running that has gotten big like that and I have to run every turn offline. The turns take about 45 minutes to process, but SE4 handles it fine. It's just a limitation we put on PBW so one game doesn't tie up too much of the system resources.

Great it worked!! And here comes the stupid newbie follow up question:

How do i upload the turn? Should I check the replacement turn box? Should I press the "execute next turn" button?

Or do I have to email the file to all the players?

Leave the replacement box unchecked, since you aren't trying to overwrite the old turn.

Browse to your zip file, and then hit the "Upload replacement turn" button.
Hrm, that is a bad label for the button. It really should be "Upload New Turn" to be clearer.
The checkbox is for specifying whether this new turn replaces the old one (replay turn #X using this new file), or is just a plain new turn (turn #X+1).

I would say that "Upload Turn" would be even better wording. "Upload New Turn" causes the same confusion if you are uploading a replacement turn that the current wording does for a new turn.
