What happend to the forums?
 

Seriously, this morning the Shrapnel Forums were gone. Not just not connectable, but gone. The page that opened was a Go Daddy search page, and said the domain had expired today. Or was that just for me at my browser? Sheesh, Shrapnel Games, don't scare me like that.

Mine did it as well for a while, Maybe someone in accouting forgot to pay their bill or something.

It could be DNS failure. Lately I've experienced an intermittant problem with www.yahoo.com not being accessible. Other subdomains in Yahoo like groups.yahoo.com are still available, just not www.yahoo.com -- then when I try again a hour or two later it works again. Remember the news stories about 'pharming' (DNS poisoning) being the next step in online crime scams? It's possible that attempts at this are causing problems.

I think you both somehow inadvertently went to an alternate universe where there is no Shrapnel Games and no SEIV. How horrible! Makes me shake in terror!

Well, whattaya know...

The expiration date for the domain is listed as Nov 10th of next year, and the last update of the record was today. Maybe there really was a registration glitch.
