winMBT and Registry Mechanic

I use Registry Mechanic on a regular basis along with Window Washer. I have noticed that I always seem to have failed loads although they don't occur in the game. During tonights scan I noticed the following entry which I use to let RM delete. Is the below file required for counting the turns or can it be deleted?

Location: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell NoRoam\MUICache
Value : C:\Documents and Settings\c\Local Settings\Temp\WinSPMBT.exe = C:\Documents and Settings\c\Local Settings\Temp\WinSPMBT.exe
Parsed : C:\Documents and Settings\c\Local Settings\Temp\WinSPMBT.exe

Re: winMBT and Registry Mechanic

Complete gibberish to me - we do not use the registry in the game, only INI files and internal game DAT files etc.

Have you set up any Windows 98 compatibility mode settings, if this is XP? - in which case windows XP itself may be setting internal stuff up in the registry.

OR - thinks! - it may be referring to the windows desktop shortcut (which is why it is appearing in Documents and Settings??) and deleting that might mess that up (and hence your save game problems perhaps?)

Cheers
Andy

Nope, it is just running in XP complete. Could be that it is messing with the shortcut and thus the counter. I marked it as omit for future scans, will update this if that fixes the problem.

Thanks.
