Please help... can\'t install Zorians, Dominion etc.
 

Okay, please forgive me - I have absolutely no programming/computer experience - beyond clicking install buttons and playing games http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/images/icons/icon7.gif

I tried to install the Dominion race, the Zorians and the Pyrochette (or something named similar). I clicked on winzip and then chose SEIV as the file folder .... it filled my folder with about 300 files! They were scattered all over.

The TDM-modpack I installed the same way, but it worked fine.

Ok, the problem is that with some shipsets there was no folder zipped up with all the files. To install these make a file (default: 'new folder') and unzip all the files for ONE shipset in there. Then rename that new folder to the name of the shipset (ie, zorian to zorian) and move the folder into the race section. Repeat above steps for further shipsets. I personally let the winzip do a default unzip into the 'unzipped' section (think its the winzip wizard that does this) and then move it manually to the SEIV folders. Hope this helps.

Yes, I purposely did not zip up the zorians with file locations so that when unzipping them you would suddenly end up with the files stuck off in a long chain of subdirectories. I'll have to add a line in the readme so others don't get caught.

O.k. the Zorians are now fixed so that they should unzip into a subdirectory, sorry about that.
