Noob q: defending a region that contains a castle
Ok, so, standard disclaimer: I'm still a total newbie at this game...but I am trying to get a good grip on it. This question has probably been answered somewhere else, but I couldn't find it in the FAQ etc...so here goes: One thing I have recently found to be very annoying is that when I have armies in a region with a castle, and I want to defend the region, if I put my armies on Defend orders, they'll defend the castle only leaving the region defenseless. So ALL the time the darned AI takes over my undefended region even when I have a gazillion troops there that all are defending...they're just defending the castle! Argh. How can I get around this?
Thanks, Alarik |

Use patrol.
If you want to move troops into the castled province, first move them normally, then click on them again and a move and patrol command should appear. |
