Screen Shimmy / Shake
I was playing a scenario, full screen, CD 2.5, vs AI.
On turn 15 of 15 I was down to 2 units. Game continued into extra turns. On the AI turn 16 my 2 units are killed. When my turn 17 screen popped up it was viewing the upper left corner, the lower left showed A0 destroyed, and the screen was shuddering, shaking, vibrating. I thought it would CTD. It did not. I ended my turn, AI turn was normal, same thing next turn. This repeated until the game ended around turn 20. I've never lost all my units before. Is this normal? |
Re: Screen Shimmy / Shake
The code will try to centre on your first active on-map unit.
That could be the problem, as you do not have any http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif! Andy |

Q. I've never lost all my units before. Is this normal?
A. No dummy, don't lose all your units. Q. What does the game do if that happens. A. Has fits of rage and tries to reach out and slap you. Thanks, I'll try to be more normal in the future. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif |
Re: Screen Shimmy / Shake
It's not a situation that I have actually tested against, I'd assumed the base code would do something sensible like terminate the game immediately there were no viable forces for a side. (Hmm - but what if there were reinforcements ready to arrive a couple of turns later?).
Something to test later - and maybe fix (if it can be). Cheers Andy |
