\"Direct draw\" not initializing?
 

I just reformatted my HD and reinstalled XP Pro, as well as WinMBT, and both the 2.0 and 2.5 patches.

Everytime I try to start the game, I get an error message that "direct draw could not initialize" and it closes, I get asked if I want to send an error report . . .

Update your graphics card drivers and install the latest DirectX version.

You can also try changing the Game Mode option to Full Screen GDI in the WinSPBT Game Options window.
