Mobhack can you help?

How many vehicles is an off-map MLRS section supposed to represent? 1? 2? 4?

However many is in 1/2 a USA MLRS battery TO&E I presume. (I assume you mean the USA OOB).

The original USA OOB designer may be able to help you there, if he is on the forum?. However, I don't know. I did not design the USA OOB.

Also - see the strange formula the old OOB design team invented for MRL, it is in the MOBHACK help I think. (I would have used No. of launchers times No. of rockets as with tube arty myself, but they did it that way for some reason I cannot fathom). You may well be able to reverse calculate the figure from that formula.

Cheers
Andy

Re: Mobhack can you help?

I did some research. The MLRS are deployed in batteries of 3. Each launcher carries 12 rockets. So a battery in the game with 4 slots of 9 rockets is meant to represent a 3 launcher battery. An accurate representation of 1 launcher in game would have 2 slots of 6 rockets each. The launcher's magazine is divided so that it is capable of launching half of it's payload or all of it's payload in each salvo. So it woulb be unrealistic to divide the rockets into 4 slots of 3 in game.
