Battle-location bug?

I discovered the following bug: I tried to start a battle of Norway advances vs. Mujahedeen delay, Feb. 2006. I only got snow-covered "Norway(bat. loc. 7)" maps, even if the computer clameded Afghanistan as location. Tried changing bat. loc. randomly, and the computer claimed it was Indonesia, but it was still a snow map. How do you get the map-generator to change into proper terrain? Or stop it from making snow-covered tropical terrain?

February is a snowy month anyway, so you could just pretend you were fighting Mujahideen in Afghanistan's mountains. That's all I can help you with.

It doesn't just happen against the Mujahedeen. Also got the same result against Indonesia and Vietnam.

Re: Battle-location bug?

I will look into that.

Norway should be set up as a single location minor country overide to only generate Norway as a batloc, no matter the opponent (except Sweden & maybe Finland(?) I think). So it's probably overriding the batloc data for the Afghan locations, but the name may not have been reset.

Cheers

You can still change the battle location to desert or mountain if you want. There's an option on the right panel of the campaign generation screen.
