couple of questions for you

Guys.
1. Why is it that whenever my race A.I gains a tech though intellegence, it is always one that i have just researched within 1-3 turns previously.

2. Can or do the races adjust their ordinance according to who they are at war with, i mean if they are at war with 1 race.

3. Perhaps i missed it in the new patch report, but a bug i found and posted off to Aaron sometime ago was to do with 'create star'. I'll try to elaborate on that waffle (hehe). I had built a few ringworlds but my A.I controlled 'create star' ship refused to move away from one of them but kept on displaying 'Cannot create a star when there is a construction around it'. Perhaps it may turn up in the next patch or mayby not, anyone else encountered this one?

Re: couple of questions for you

As to number 3 I would guess that the AI does not know what a stellar construction is. All it sees is that there is a system with no star. So it tries to create a star. It gets the error message that there is a stellar construction there but then promptly does not do anything about it.

A constructed world for just about all situations replaces the star with the constructed world.

Also I think the AI can only handle 1 of each type of stellar manip components. I once created two planet construct ships on opposite sides of the galaxy to create planets out of asteroids. Both ships decided to go to the same asteroid. It appears that the AI does not have the luxury of knowing like the colony AI that a ship is already on the way to do the stellar manip item.

Nope! That is a big weakness in the AI. While the human player can adjust their ship designs to counter what they see on the AI ships, the each AI is *always* going to build exactly the same ships.
