verify 2h files
Does anyone know what the --verify (exactly) do?
Is it something that is supposed to be working? because I couldn't get the command to work. For example, from dos shell I changed dir to the a games dir and then did "../dom2.exe --verify" then I received an error window (nagot gick fel fellow): "Wrong CD Key". *Of course, I have a legal copy of the game.* So basically it would be nice to know what does it do and how to make it work. Re: verify 2h files
You should not move the dom2.exe. Start it as usual from the dominions2 directory:
Code:

dom2 MyGame --verify

should do the trick and generates a .chk file for every .2h file (and the fthrlnd file if present) contained in the MyGame directory (i.e. if you have a game called "MyGame" in this example). As all game directories, this should be a directory directly within the dominions main directory. Edit: Oh, and look for the created .chk files inside the game's directory, i.e. within "MyGame" in my above example. Cheers. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif |
