Moved from Frequently Asked Questions for Newbies

nowhere have i seen that spaceyards are useless on battlecruiser, battleship, dreadnought or base ship hulls. there is no option to build either by selecting the ship or using the build list, the spaceyard functions ONLY as a very expensive repair facility. this really irks me as i've got 11 spaceyard base ships still on my queues that i was going to build a ring-world with.
considering all the outdated and obvious info contained in this faq, i think it might have been mentioned.
i'm using v1.95[steam] if it makes a difference.
changing tack, i think the ship design section should mention that putting a repair pod on wormhole & planet creator/smasher ships makes them completely self-sufficient [assuming a quantum reactor].

Space Yards function just fine on the hull sizes that you mentioned.

Hmm... well I guess I'll repeat the reply here:

This shouldn't have been made in the FAQ thread itself.

You can use space yards on ships just the same as those on bases. They appear in the main Construction Queues window. You can also hit Q or press the Queue button with such a ship selected to jump to its individual queue.

You can't add to queues for ships that are cloaked. Moving SYS can not construct anything.
