Apparently she never smoked, but as a professional singer she spent a lot of time in pubs. It's their son who's most unfortunate.

That poor woman? No, that poor child... 13 years old, just starting the awkward phase of his life and both his parents die on him.

Her children still have family. The boy has a step brother and sister that are older than he as well as her parents. It is a very sad thing indeed for him and her entire family to have to suffor, and God only knows why they were all made to suffor so. This just proves, that no matter how bad you think you might have it, someone else surely has it far worse.
