Mod Question, please answer
 

I just downloaded a few of the mods(on my ibook) from illwinter's complete and serious mod page or whatever, and most of them work. The problem im having with some of them is that once i put the mod in the mod folder i have to move the contents of it back over to the mods folder and of the folder they came in.

Im really not exactly sure why, but, hey whatever works. Anyways some of the content of the mod folders has other folders full of tga images, but that folder has the same name as the original folder and will replace it if i move it back.

So if you're still with me, my question is what do i rename the second folder to get it to work?? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/confused.gif

So if anyone knows what im talking about please enlighten me, and sorry if there was another thread with this kinda stuff on, didn't really check im in a hurry.

I don't quite follow... can you rephrase it? BTW, all the mods should have readmes with exact installation instructions.

yeah sorry about the confusing tangent, the problem was the the tga's were in a seperate directory but it had the same name as the orginal mod folder.

This was a problem because i, for some reason, needed to move everything out of the original folder but into the "Mod" folder that dominions 2 creates inside of the saved games folder, and it was replacing the original, and not working.

It would make dominions quit out when i tried to play the mod when it was set up that way.

Anyways all i had to do was name the original folder (i.e. the folder that shows up on your desktop when you download the mod) with a 1 at the end of it. orcishempire1 for example

i suggest you go onto the mod forums here and try zepaths mods (underkings and necropolis) and get Cb 5.whatever
