TOW
I think that the ATGM inf teams are short of men and has got to much missiles.
With self experience with the TOW system is that the system is almost impossibly to move with 2 men and have also 2 missiles. Maybe infantry teams with 4 men with 2 missiles are more correctly. More about the TOW follow this link: http://www.army-technology.com/projects/tow/ |
Re: TOW
How about making them crew-served?

It worked after a fashion. Down load the Attachment and have a look at the OOB's. Re: TOW
Making them crew-served is an interesting option indeed, but what will it change to the ammo-vs-crew problem?
Apart from the fact that you won't have a fixed two-men icon 'covering' for a four-men team, as is often the case for e.g. MG sections. BTW, Listy, one thing I haven't solved yet about these crew-served ATGMs is which class they are supposed to be stacked into. AT-Gun or RLR team I suppose? Maybe some SPATGM class would work in those (rare) orbats where there is one unused. Thinking about the whole thing, I wonder if in modern western armies, the SAMs working on this principle (Javelin-etc. LML, Rbs-70, Mistral...) shouldn't be the mainstay of the "Area SAM" class, the long-range ones being less and less used on the field. |
Re: TOW
most of hte moden Missile teams can be put into the Gun for that class as very few moden Armies still use ATG's and heavy AA guns.
