Pirates
 

here is an idea it may be taken already((sorry if it is this is a big forum i dont have time to read it all unfortunetly))pirates like an computer player that would not colonize they would have bases for planets and they would get money buy robbing hsips and plundeirng planets((they would never destory a colony but would capture and destory ships))and they would not make alliences however you could pay them money to plunder another empire but they may or may not obey you

ummm......see the 'pirates life for me' thread. In it you will find the pirate mod.....lots of work by SJ and others.

Actually....after taking a second look at your post, it would be nice if there were some type of mercinary forces you could hire in the game. Like a 'Brotherhood of the Fist' merc band or something, you pay them to attack others, (then others pay them more to not attack http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/images/icons/icon7.gif) Put to use the xtra resources I have at times.
