Fleet: old: Optimal Weapons Range; should be: Optimal Firing Range

DesignCreation:

1-Colony ships (both default & some mod-races): old: Phased-Shield Generation; should be: Phased Shield Generation.

2-Some of Modded races: old: Combat To Hit Dec; should read: Combat To Hit Defense Plus.

3-Some of Modded races: old: Combat To Hit Add; should read: Combat To Hit Offense Plus.

4-Fighters: old: Combat Sensors; should read: Combat To Hit Offense Plus.

These are all that my poor old tired brain can remember.
Just be sure that your spelling is good http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/ima...ons/tongue.gif

also with the Combat to... statements be sure the first letter in each word is in capitals http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/images/icons/blush.gif (I found out the hard way)

When was this "old" name changed? I patched my V1.25, and that Version of my mod works perfectly.

Did the hyphen get added somewhere between V1.26 and 1.34, and its being removed again?

Thanks Pathfinder. I have a lot of races downloaded from other sites, Atrocities old site and Universial Shipyards mostly, so I have a lot of editing to do.

SJ-not sure when those ( - ) were added or if I just messed up with my own modding. I just know that these are the errors/changes I had to make and seem to be similar to ones others were running in to.

all I can say in recommendation is check them and see. *shrug*

Actually it's not that bad, because the game tells you now exactly where the problem is and you can correct it step by step. I' ve got 38 races in my modification and had not to many problems with it until now. The error Messages do not crash the game and I think most of the errors have been there since long but we didn't realize them!

Word changes in v1.35
 

A lot of the new threads concerning the 1.35 patch contain referances to problems due to changes in a specific word phrase. These changes seem to be ones that effect every modded race.Could anyone familiar with these changes make a short post of the old phrases vs the new phrases? Having a list would make it a lot easier to update other modded races.
