Starfury-isms
OK, I had an idea for a mod the other day... Take SE4, but tweak it so things resemble the Starfury universe! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif
Here are the ones I thought of so far: -Weapons, not engines, store supplies -Only weapons (and SM if it's included) use supplies (not engines) -No stellar manipulation, or it is very expensive/difficult -Bigger ships, fewer hull classes, but several variants of each hull (Destroyer MkI/MkII/MkIII) -Colonization is very expensive/difficult -Each race gets its own subset of the weapons tech tree (might allow reverse engineering of alien tech to get a reduced version of it) -Pirates! Neutrals (with multiple racial techs!) Sithrak! -All components templatized -More advanced engines of the same class (ion, etc.) are not cheaper but instead provide slightly more speed, but not as much as the next class -QNP, of course! -Hotswappable components (i.e. low refit costs and quick repairs at planets) -Cargo crates a la Dark Nova Anyone have any more Starfury-isms that can go into this mod? |
