OT - On Pins and Needles

My 36week pregnant wife is on the way to the OB this morning feeling "uncomfortable". As a physician it is irritating to feel powerless with the care of your wife and unborn child.

I know everything is fine and even if she is in labor, she's close enough that the likelihood is that everything will go smoothly.

Now I have to work in the office until I hear from her.

That's the hard part. 36 weeks is considered the 'safety zone' at least when it relates to timing.

Is this your first? My prayers are with you to for "ten fingers and ten toes" and all the other stuff to be healthy. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

(Or maybe an EEE is what you're hoping for. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/shock.gif Just kidding! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif)

Everything went alright today, she's home again, resting.

This is our second child.

I've delivered plenty of babies in my professional life (over sixty). 37 weeks is considered term, but I still don't like the idea of going early, it just increases the risk of NICU stays, and such.

We'll make it.

Well, she's contracting more regularly over the weekend, still no baby. We're still waiting.
