Black Eagle\'s main gun

I remember reading that the Black Eagle tank (in the South Korea OOB) was originally supposed to have a 152mm gun (which was cut for budgetary reasons). Any reason the 152mm version can't be added?

Re: Black Eagle\'s main gun

Infos available are still hazy about the next generation of Russian main guns, but it looks more and more likely that the 152mm option would be retained rather than the 135mm, should anything new be actually considered. According to rare sources (here is the only free-access article I could find, see if you can translate it) the future Chinese tanks is also supposed to use a 152mm smoothbore gun in the first stages.

Problem is, where is one supposed to find data about that 152mm gun which, as far as can be known, hasn't left the drawing board?

I doubt that the South Koreans will have the Black Eagle. At least not in 2006. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

However it is IMO one of the best armored tanks in the game, because front hull armor of 70 is comparable to turrets 69, and you can be sure that itīll stop that first shot of pen 68, whether hitting the hull or turret. (A Leo 2A6-ex wouldnīt, maybe too many hull hits in the game?)

Re: Black Eagle\'s main gun

Question is (as for the gun), how could the ingame armor ratingsrealte in any reliable way to the actual properties of a tank, of which only one or two prototypes (mockups?) have been rolled out, the (projected) series version being largely different? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif
Just nitpicking...

And, well, 2006?I hadn't checked that recently, but that is sure optimistic (hell, the year isn't over, who knows?). Now adding that mean-looking K-2 MBT would be interesting, though maybe overly optimistic too!
