SEIV support wide screen?
 

I just bought a viewsonic vx2025wm, a 20.1" widescreen at 1680x1050.

I try running SEIV and it's windowed and tiny. The nvidia adapter's 4x modes for resizing the screen dont seem to change the windowed small size.

What can I do?

SE:IV will only do a max of 1024x768; SE:V can do better than that, but probably in the traditional 4:3 aspect.

SE4 battles will do 1600 x 1200 (I often switch to that to view big battles, so more of the battle fits on one screen during replays)... I don't know about weird aspect ratios though.

You're right! Space battle are compatible with widescreen!

But the empire screen is only 1024x768... Boohoo.

Space battles are so much better tho, widescreen. My 20in only does 1680x1050. So your widescreen is better. I'd love to have a large view of the battles. What is yours, a 23in?

Mine are nice big old CRT's. It really makes a big difference when watching large battles, but then ya, one wants to switch back to 1024 x 768 for the strategic UI. I have an LCD my employer gave me sitting here that I haven't plugged in yet - I think it's a 21" Dell of some sort.
