DirectX error on starting the game
I built a new pc but I can't get Land of Legends to run on it. I get this error: There was a problem initializing graphics. Your video card may not support Direct3D.
I have the latest directX and drivers installed on a fresh windows XP. I have no problems running other games on it. I have an ATI X1900XT and a Intel core 2 duo (that should do it http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif ) |
Re: DirectX error on starting the game
Hi there boro,
It's hard to tell just from that short description what the error is, but of course we'll work with you to get the game running. The first thing I suggest trying is to make sure that you did install the version of Managed DirectX bundled with our installer. If you declined to install that, or if there was a problem during the Managed DirectX installation, then LOL will not run properly. If you don't have the correct version of Managed DirectX installed, then the LOL installer should prompt you to install it. If you didn't see a prompt for whatever reason, that means it thinks you have Managed DirectX installed already. Otherwise, I recommend that you email us directly, and send us a copy of dxdiag.txt to bugs -at- tinyhero -dot- com. (To create a dxdiag.txt file, click Start-->Run and then type in 'dxdiag' and press enter. Click the 'Save All Information' button in the window that comes up, then save it somewhere convenient, like your desktop. Then send that to us in email along with a description of your problem.) Hopefully we'll get your problem solved ASAP! -Hiro_Antagonist |
Re: DirectX error on starting the game
well, I could have sworn I had the latest directx, but in fact I did not (thank you microsoft for the monthly new directx 9.0c. There ARE other letters you know)
Cheers for your quick support http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif |
