Moroccan Climate and Terrain

Hello Group,

I'm looking at making a map depicting the coastal Moroccan city of Larache and I'm not sure if I should use the Summer tileset or the Desert tileset.

Any suggestions?

Also, which batloc number would most accurately represent said terrain in the map generator?

Thanks,

Christian

Re: Moroccan Climate and Terrain

try local live

enter Larache as the search item, and it goes there.

It is of course a modern satellite photo - city will have spread, but shows the geography. Arid, but the hills around (e.g. Er Relat) look rather green, ditto the river valley - sems to be irrigated e.g El Adir area.

Also - download google earth and have a look at thier photos of Larache area. (just tried that - the google map is wide area and low res, windows live is a better resolution mapping)

Windows Live Local is I find, rather better than google (e.g. comparing thier photos of Leuchars UK airbase which is just over the river. Google is simply mush, with live local I can actually determine the parked plane types).

Cheers
Andy

Try the editor set to Summer then type in batloc 197. Once you've done that open up the map generator and set Arid to ON and regenerate the map and you might have something you can work with
