Screen resolution 1280 x 768

Anyway to get a screen resolution of 1280 x768 with CD version?

I have a wide screen HDTV, that only likes this resolution for games.

Thanks

Re: Screen resolution 1280 x 768

Full screen - no. We only provide the "default" Windows sizes - 1280 by 768 is non-standard, like the various 1450 by 1020 and so on, proprietary to some laptops.

In windowed mode, just select a resolution > your screen size (1280 by 1024 say). So long as your windows desktop has the taskbar in the default place and size, it will take all of the "free" desktop area, and in addition leave you with the Windows taskbar accessable at the bottom of the screen for task-swithing and to se the clock (which is handy http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif. (This is described in the game guide setting up the game/tuning section.)

Re: Screen resolution 1280 x 768

Hmm - odd.

Someone has run a 1280 by 768 laptop by setting the windowed screen display to 1280 by 1024. (I cannot tell as I do not have a laoptop with strange non-standard disply to test on, my IBM has a standard 1024 by 768 windows desktop).

It could simply be that some DirectX drivers will work with such a request for a screen > screen resolution, but yours do not?.

Try running in Windowed mode with the Windows GDI graphics mode, since your DirectX driver is having problems with a request for 1280 by 1024. That should work.

Cheers
Andy
