I replaced a large number of my off map artillery with Karl Morsers and began a battle. In order to see their effect I tried to program them for an initial battle opening fire-storm but they wouldn't take part, not even register. If I set them up on a 'targeted' hex they would register with an expected barrage at 1.0, if I tried to register them on a non-targeted hex they wouldn't even emplace (that is either on the map or darken in the menu). Is there something about this particular off-map artillery that precludes their use for initial 0.0 bombardments?

Game quirk. It's the ROF 1 that causes that to happen. Even with a ROF of 1 that's really too fast for that thing but that's as slow as we can make it and one of the penalties is you cannot fire it as part of the opening bombardment. Normally I wouldn't have included that in the game but there is a campaign in the works that needs it.
