6 pounder AT gun

How come in the ANZAC OOB it is not possible to get a 6 pounder AT gun till 1945?

This would appear to be some form of date error. Australian troops were using this gun in North Africa in 42 as well as using it in New Guinea in 43.

You would need a new formation, with a new class most likely, or Japanese players would object to the gun in the Far East?. That could have been the rationale for the OOB designer methinks. (it is similar for the Indian forces too)

If using these at the moment, you can get UK 6 pounders as Allied troops. (the AI as I recall, buys Allied AAA and ATG from the UK list if figting Jerry for this - as well as planes, since these are also "far Eastern" with wirawarrys etc).

I am not sure that this would be a valid reason for not including this gun in the ANZAC OOB.
Also why would it need a new class/formation? It is just another AT gun like the 2 Pounder.
As for the Japanese players, as I pointed out it was in PNG in 1943 anyway so I would see little grounds for complaint on that as well.

Of note between 42 and 43 the Anti tank units had a name change from Anti Tank to Tank Attack.

This seems the gun should be part of the ANZAC OOB not a buy from the UK OOB.

The 6 Pounder Anti Tank Gun was being manufactured in Australia as was the 17 Pounder Anti Tank Gun.

edit:
Also under the ANZAC OOB thread in this forum I have listed a few units/weapons with odd dates.

OK - it would appear that this was available at the normal dates, unlike what the OOB designer assumed.

I'll put it on the to-do to have 6 pdr available to ANZAC and Indian OOBs.

Also I would suggest you lok at the start date for the following 2 units.
#381 Bunker
#383 Pillbox
They have a start date of 45 based on I suspect, the 6 Pounder not being available till then.
