Question about the new castles system:

Do the "defence value"s of castles translate more literally into gameplay now, or are there still a few castles that have equal defence values but might be tougher than others due to its hardpoints and chokepoints? Is there any breakdown in the manual of these castles, or will we just have to experiment to find out what it's like to assault/defend all these new castles?

Re: Question about the new castles system:

The defense value is merely how much effort is required to breach it, not how hard it is to win when storming it.
And why should there be a direct connection between the two?

He meant (I think) the shape of the castle when storming it, which affects the difficulty of winning the battle when storming it (some castles may have smaller entrances which allow less troop in, some have more towers shooting at enemies, which effects how hard the castle is to conquer, but is not reflected in the defense value of the castle)

@Agrajag
I guess there shouldn't be. I don't know why, but I just didn't put 2 and 2 together. Yeah, all I'm asking is if there is some way to know how defensible (I think that's a good term) the castles are ahead of time.

That's okay if there isn't. Unlike Dominions 2, we aren't making choices about castles, so there is no fear of making an uneducated choice. I was just curious.
