SE5: Renforcements..have arrived.
 
Fun little bit with the combat simulator:

I'm sure everyone's noticed you can stop it at any time, and that damage carries over to the next sim, right?

The stop button isn't actually a stop button. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif Its a "pause" button. If you want you can stop the battle mid-stream, re-position the ships, add renforcements, remova ships, whatever. Quite handy.

For whatever reason, I never used the combat sim in SE4, but I'm loving it in SE5 demo. I go with the ALLTECH cheat, then design a bunch of different ships and let them go at it to test strategies.

One dreadnaught with direct fire weapons, plows through anything less than 8 destroyers, yikes!

Remind me not to overwrite the demo with the game so I can keep doing the simulator runs with that great advice, Ron.

I meant using the cheat codes... I heard they won't be in the game?

You can turn off cheat codes as in SE:IV.
