How is hit location determined?

I know that a blow can land on the body or the head. How does the game determine which?

IIRC what developer said on this forum, it's 80/20 chance.

Plus hobbits need a pike to a giant in the head.

To hit a giant in the head?
Is that some arbitrary restriction, or something like length of weapon must be atleast as much as the difference in sizes between the two units in order for the smaller one to hit?

I just had an idea for a new unit! Acrobatic Hobbits. Special ability allows them to stand on another Hobbit's shoulders in order to hit tall units in the head. Increased chance of head shot on human sized opponents. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...ies/tongue.gif

Eeeeek!

What about with multiple heads? Does the Wyrm have a double chance to be bashed over the head by acrobatic hobbits with shortswords?

Does this mean that giants hit hobbits only on the head?

You mean they step on them. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Some giants find a picture of a flat hobbit to be very amusing... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif
