SE:V Running Setup.exe from CD
 

I had a problem installing SE:V from CD. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/rolleyes.gif

The work-around is to copy setup.exe onto your C: drive, run setup from there.

It went smoothly after that.

Well that fixed one problem for me but when I create any new game there are no options in the ship strategies box when you design a ship. Anyone have any ideas what is wrong I have a screen shot of the error message but don't know how to attach it to the post.

Sorry this is only my second post on any forum, still trying to learn.

You just need to leave the "preview this post or add an attachment" box checked.
Then upload and post.

Ok first: like SJ said, that's bad form. Just attach the actual picture.

Second, that's easy to fix. Make sure you pick a Minister Style when making a race; not picking one is what causes that error.

OK here is a jpeg of the screen shot.

And for more info I did a reinstall and still get the same problem. But if I do a quick start game it does not have the same problem
