Auto site search
 

Hi,

I wasn't able to find exactly how its done (not in the manual nor in the forums).
Can someone please describe how do I set my mages to auto site searching?

Oh well, it seems like choosing the mage, pressing 'M' and casting a site search spell will start him casting this spell on non searched provinces. Is that the way of it?

Problem is, they like to target the same province.

You can pretty safely leave one mage auto site searching.
He might, or might not search capitals.
If you want to speed it up using other mages, do them by hand and start at the bottom of the list.

If its indeed so then to me it sounds like a bug.

Yeah, basically you can have only one mage monthly casting each search spell, any more are wasted. Bummer.

You can have multiple mages casting different site-search spells though. Just don't mix akashic record in.

It's erratic. Sometimes they recognize that another mage is casting it on a province and move to the next one on the list, sometimes not.

They definitely target your own capital, but I haven't seen them auto-select a conquered enemy capital yet.

Searching one's capital happens because it's not flagged as completely searched in any path at the start. Mages also seem to get confused and fixate on targeting the province they're in, at times.

What's particularly weird is when they auto-target a province that already has been Acashic Record'd or otherwise searched to level 9 in the relevant paths.
