Spells that do not offer saves.
 

Every once and a while when thumbing through the Grimoire, I notice a spell that appears to offer no resistance. I am never sure if the resistance is simply left out, or if the spell really works that way. I decided to start a thread to list/discuss spells that fall under this category, since it is an interesting part of the game. I will bring up the first spell: Blood 8 Life for a Life. It does not list MR as a resistance, but I find it hard to imagine this is true. Anyone know?

The path most often subject to MR is Astral. However, many spells do not check against magic resistance. The MR list in the Grimoire was generated directly from the game code, so there should not be a lot of omissions, if any. You can usually correlate the MR/lack of MR to the in-game spell description.

Life for a life is a very powerful single target spell, great for taking down alot of big things since it cant be resisted and can (iirc, cant remember casting level) possibly be spammed.

It's very high level, but quite easy to cast. MUch like blood vengance or disintigrate. Blood magic looks abit more palatable for things other than unique devils.
