Map errors and expected changes
In addition to the bug and the manual threads, I think it would be a good idea to list the errors in the map files given with dom 3, as there are some (and it's disturbing to realise after x turns that some provinces are plains instead of seas, or to start on a province with only one neighbour).
So, post here errors you have found or things you think good to change in the map files. Errors I've found on the cradle map : - 120 should be sea - 160 should be sea - 90, 111, 121, 150, 193, 209 should be nostart (according to map description "provinces with less than 4 neighbours are nostart") In the parganos map : - 31 should be nostart (isle with no land neighbour) In the big glory map : - several provinces with only two neighbours are not nostart (but as it's not specified in map description that they should be it's not really an error) like 586 (forgot to note the others) Not really errors but a general comment : I think in most cases, it would be a good idea to represent terrain types in a more clear manneer.. On many maps, it's still needed to look at a province box to know its terrain, when the image should be sufficient. IE, I'd be glad to see mappers always use the new "border mountain" terrain for provinces depicting hills, instead of sometimes making hills plains sometimes mountains ; as well when mappers choose a color for wastes, making half provinces of this color wastes and the other half plains is not a very good idea IMO. edit : Quote:
