Command line switches for windows?

I know you can do a --help for the linux version to get alist of command line switches, but what about windows?

What command lines should I use if I want to host a game? I.e.: minimal graphics and no sound

The command line options can be found in this file:
Doms 3 install directory/stdout.txt

Re: Command line switches for windows?

The command switches are the same for all the versions. So the list that you see in linux is also the list in windows. Getting some of them to work can be trial and error. Especially since windows doesnt seem to really like the text mode. At least to me it seems like it doesnt do things the usual way.

Can anyone else get the text mode to work under windows? I either get nothing, or I get an "incorrect CD key" error.

Re: Command line switches for windows?

I don't know if it's something similar in Windows, but on the Mac with the terminal the game has to be started from a particular directory in order to run (and it's not the directory in which the binary resides).

Re: Command line switches for windows?

What are you trying to do with the text mode? Run a game? Or just set your preferences for how you want Dom3 to run?

Re: Command line switches for windows?

I'm hosting games on my machine - no reason not to run it in text mode if this is possible.

The other switches all work fine (at least, those I've tried.)

Re: Command line switches for windows?

You can't see any text output in Windows and thus can't supply any input either. So you must cover everything with the switches, if you are only to continue hosting an already existing game it should be quite easy, but if you are to setup a new game in text mode it will be very tricky.

This should work if you continue on an old game. But you won't see anything unless you start another dom3 and connect.
