games for DEMO players only
 

In continuing to do my part for the community I offer games for brand new players only. Anyone connecting with a full version can expect their rce to be set to computer player as soon as I notice it.

These games are set to start when all 5 of the demo nations have joined. To join simply start the demo, use the tools to create a god file that can be uploaded, then use the NETWORK option to connect to a server. The server is host.dom3minions.com, then put in the port for the game you want to join. So far there are 3

Now Im going to see if I can whip up a CGI to let you easily see who has already joined and how close each game is to starting.

Any plans for doing this for people who own the game as well? Seems like it is hard to find multiplayer games atm, or I am not searching correctly http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

Gandalf; I have offered to host a couple of games on another forum, and I'd be interested in offering a "live" display of pending turns and ongoing games. Does the dom3 process give information of any sort about that, or would I have to parse the save game folder to get that?

First let me mention that there is now a way to check on the status of game starts.

when all 5 demo nations are filled, the game starts.

Now to answer the questions:
At the moment I have only 2-player blitz games (posted in another thread) or 5-player demo games.

Under consideration are:

A)3-player demo games with a couple of AI's thrown in

B)MegaChallenge games that will start when all of the nations of that era are filled, there would be 3 of those

For later consideration:

C)MegaArmageddon game where all of one era gets filled by players and all of the other nation slots are put in as AIs (that comes to 79 total)

D) Chaos games where each province is filled with additional random armies

E) Ally-for-Survival which would have random armies added all over the map, and all 79 nations, and the AIs are randomly allied with each other while being set to impossible setting. I suspect this would be a game where humans allied to each other would be a necessity rather than an option

Joined on the 8586 game as Malverni. There`s Atlantis also taken.
and in 8405 as Acro. Altrantis taken also.

8426 is full.

Theres 8420 empty
