Sneaking and Horror Mark
Does sneaking still mean Horror attack immunity, or will RAWR!ku the Hunter of Campers go after all those horror marked scouts toting your Devil contracts?

Re: Sneaking and Horror Mark
Godo question. I'll test it.

Re: Sneaking and Horror Mark
I don't know.
But about horror marks I've a sad story. In my last game, around turn 20-25, taking indies solo my pretender encountered an army from Arcocephale, led by two astrologers. I've counted more than 20 horror marks in 12 rounds of fight, probably the result of an impossible AIs giving lots of gems to mages not knowing other spells (or was chain horror marking intended as the tactical AI strategy against SCs ?). Anyway it was very efficient. With her 20+ horrors marks, my mother of monsters was attacked 3 times in the next 20 or so turns (2 normal horrors, then the eater) and finally killed by him (which probably also re-marked her several times). And she was then re-killed by another horror about 1 year after she was called back. I'll try to give her the best poison immune body guards I can find the next time, but I guess she's not going to last long anyway. But I'm happy, I've eradicated Arco to calm my nerves. edit : sorry for the hijacking, I guess I was unable to read "horror" without telling that story, it was such a trauma... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif |
Re: Sneaking and Horror Mark
It seems Horrors do kill scouts and other hiding creatures.

Re: Sneaking and Horror Mark
About the sad horror stories (sorry 'bout the pun): horror mark vs gods has been nerfed. Doom horrors show up less often, and intermediate horrors show up more. So horrors will still arrive often, but they wont be as powerfull as before. I think. All that and more in the new patch! Fun!
