Any way to retain AUTOSAVE settings?
 

Is there any way to retain the AUTOSAVE settings?

I just played 10-15 turns in a new game prior to the game crashing on me. I realized I had forgotten to turn on AUTOSAVE and thus lost everything.

I started a new game, turned on AutoSave every turn, saved the game and then started a new one. But it didn't seem to still be set. Next, I tried looking in Game Setup to see if it is there. But I couldn't see it there.

Am I missing something? Or, is there a way to somehow tell the game to REMEMBER my last seting for AutoSave?

You can load and save game setups, but I'm not sure if that covers the autosave option.

If you play simultaneous, this isn't an issue since the game is always saved to disk

Its not just autoplay, its any of the game-wide options.
If I don't want the end-turn confirmation dialog this game, why does the game think I'll want it turned on next game?

You are not joking! It would be nice if Aaron could tweak this minor but very annoying point. Every game I turn the hex grid and space background off; just to turn it off in a new game; then again...
