That if you hit the windows button to switch out of Dom3 without quiting and go back some of the pictures are letters?

I think it is kinda neet the way the units go back to pictures for attacking in combat then switch back to letters when they finish.

Yea that happens sometimes. If you play in windowed mode (hit alt+return) you can minimize/maximise/resize at will without causing any problems(very useful if your blitzing)

Its actually not an uncommon problem in programs. Especially multiple operating system programs. Its part of the problem with programming with sprites which reassign keyboard characters as sprite images and basically position them as keyboard characters which just happen to look different. It saves alot of space when programming, but Windows has problems going in and out of screen modes since thats kindof forced onto the program making it hard for the program to see that its been done and reassert its initial definitions of those characters.

Also, switching to windowed mode and back to full-screen will fix the problem. (Until the next time you alt-tab/hit start)
