Updating to Dom3 v 3.01.
Will updating from Dom 3 v3.00 to v3.01 effect any multiplayer games being hosted?

Re: Updating to Dom3 v 3.01.
You can mix versions without anything crashing. But you must have the same version as the host used when generating the last turn in order for battles to replay correctly. Otherwise they could show the results as it might have happened in another universe with slightly different rules.

Re: Updating to Dom3 v 3.01.
Yeah, you better use the same version the host does to avoid problems.
You can use whichever version of Dom3 if you make a second copy of dom3.exe in your game-folder, rename it something like dom300.exe, and only afterwards run the patch. If the host in your game is still unpatched, just use the old version of the executable (i.e. dom300.exe) when playing your turns. EDIT: Whoops, beaten to the punch. |

Cheers, thanks for the fast replys.
Concerning what Jurri said, could I install Dom3 on a different hard drive (only 1 computer) ie... Dom3 v3.00 on C and Dom3 v3.01 on D? |
Re: Updating to Dom3 v 3.01.
Don't see any reason why not. Or just a separate directory for that matter.
The patch isn't the complete game, though. So you'd have to install Dom3 v3.00 into the new location and then install the patch over it. It shouldn't be necessary. |

I did exactly what Jurri said and it works great! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Re: Updating to Dom3 v 3.01.
With the hunter of heroes bug I would recommend using a small mod to change the horror. If this horror called hunter of heroes is actually targeting unmarked heroes then I'd suggest using a mod to change its stats to match that of a false horror until it's fixed. |
