Just bought SEV and got starfury for free
 

I'm just posting this because some other people might be interested. Strategy first has an offer where if you buy SEV you get starfury for free (as a download)
I had seen offers for SEV with a free copy of SEIV, but since I (and likely most regulars here) already own SEIV that was not much of an extra value.
Anyhow, now I can play my downloaded copy of Starfury while waiting for my order of SEV to arrive http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif.

On another note: does anyone else have problems with these forums or is it just me? the seIV/seIV forum won't load for me using firefox, in internet explorer it works barely with a completely messed up layout (sidebar being displayed 3 times, and a lot of other graphical glitches)

Well I use IE7 and FF 2.0 and the forums look great in both

I highly recommend downloading the P&Nism mod

Same storyline, but far better physics... armor vs shields, crew and lifesupport, weapons balance, energy management, usefulness of fighters, serious distictions between ship sizes. Everything.

I'm using mozilla... no problems.

Yes got Star fury as well and i must say that it is a great game.

Here's a screenshot of me getting my poor little destroyer torn to shreds by a pirate cruiser and his buddies.

Its a slow and painful shredding, of course. With lots of time to try to get away, find cover or outside help. I just barely made it to a nearby planet, which I hid behind long enough for the pirates to get distracted by a passing cargo ship.

One of the greatest joys in life is seeing a TCN battleship ride to the rescue when you're besieged by pirates. A glorious broadside of quantum torpedoes, bringing sweet sweet revenge.
