A few Pangaea questions
1: Do I have any hope of getting some decent Death magic up and running without a rainbow pretender? I'm pretty much addicted to that school of magic. (And I find the concept of undead Dryads really cool. Don't ask me why)
2:Is there any way to turn a Pan's flute off? I love swarming and the free units can really come in handy, but the upkeep hurts. 3:Is Turmoil 3 a good or bad idea? Kind of ties in with the last question. 4:Does Pangaea have any particularly good national spells I should know about? Please keep in mind, some of these questions might not make sense as I'm playing off Dominions 2 while I wait for D3 to arrive. |
Re: A few Pangaea questions
1: Play LA pan or just take some death on your pretender (he dosnt have to be rainbow) and summon undead mages.
2: Play LA or no 3: Not with order/turmoil having as big an effect as the currently do (turmoil 1 might be allowable) 4: Well carrion woods is nice but nothing very big whoops, didnt read your playing dom2. That in mind just forget what i said about carrion woods and eras. |
Re: A few Pangaea questions
Actually, Dominions 3 are probably better. Thanks for the response!
After making a rainbow pretender and jacking the Turmoil down to 1, most of the issues I had are resolved. |
Re: A few Pangaea questions
Dom 3 and SP thus far:
1: I always try to (unless double bless) get 4D for the EA/MA pretender, death magic really is too good to pass up. 2: Naw, better get them killed faster http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif. 3: I find turmoil/luck a really worthy option now (instead of no-brainer order/misfortune back in Dom2) that there are more gold-generating events and as the luck scale actually gets you more good events. 4: I like the carrion summons a lot. They're very cost effective and require little mage time. Also, Carrion Lords are H3 - especially nice in LA when your Dryads are H1. |
