CLI for probing turn status, UPDATED version 0.02
1 Attachment(s)
V. 0.02
-> Fix crash when nation status byte was 0xff -> Fix some typos Attached is a windows executable for probing dom-III MP game status. To install it: 1. Extract the files. 2. Edit the file .py_eye.cfg with the server info of the games you want to check. 3. Create a shortcut to py_eye.exe or double click it 4. in the prompt type 'help' to get a list of possible commands and help 'cmd' to get help on a specific command. 5. 'all' will query status of all configured games. Thanks to the good ppl that helped with information and directions and to IW and Johan for making the tool possible. The tool can be made aware of modded nations as well. I guess I'll make it possible via the configuration file in the next version. |

Re: CLI for probing turn status version 0.01
now i changed the default name "Jinxed Frechdachs" for "Eventide" wich is the real game name and lists me the status of who has played his turn and whos connected but Jomon (me) its not there and theres a nation called "Chelms"
that must be me |
Re: CLI for probing turn status version 0.01
hola Manuk, gracias por usarlo.
I've noticed a recent change in the actual values of some of the protocol fields. The change can sometimes break the utility. I have fixed that already but I'll recompile the utility tomorrow (its late now). For mapping the nations I have used the nation numbers listed in the game manual. Chelms is a late era nation with number 51. I actually don't have Jomon at all. Do you perhaps know its number and age?- Probably there's an overlap or mistake... Also, have you correctly configured the age in the .py_eye.cfg file? |
Re: CLI for probing turn status version 0.01
Oh and I can probably make the nation numbers assignment configurable, so that modded nations can be added. Truth is, I'm too lazy to do it, so I'll probably do it if I think it may actually be useful to someone http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif
