How\'s this for MA Oceania?
Imprisoned Sacred Statue (We're in dire need of more Water-friendly pretenders)
W5 S5 Misfortune 1 Magic 1 Order 3 Productivity 3 Dominion 10 The plan is to expand throughout the water, perhaps one or two heavilly defended Land provinces, plant a few Sirens in coastal provinces, and cast an item-assisted Lure of the Deep once my pretender wakes up. From there, conquer the water, then expand onto the land with (Preferrably) Mermidons and Trident Knights. The S5 opens up my options a bit and helps my land expansion with Imprint Souls. (If I have enough spare gold to boost PD into the stratosphere) Perhaps sending a Siren over to build a lab. Does all this sound okay? |
Re: How\'s this for MA Oceania?
Lure of the Deep is good on a larger map (it'd be good on Silent Seas probably though), and even then only if there's plenty of provinces bordering water. I'd only go for it, because you'd have to hustle to get it in 30 turns, if that were the case. Choose your map carefully and you'll probably be in good shape, it looks like a fun strategy.

Are Mermidons really usable. They have massive encumberence. I prefer soldiers.

Re: How\'s this for MA Oceania?
Mermidons have never really failed me. Their encumberance is a hit, yes, but when massed I find any opponents have a really hard time damaging them. Combine that with an acceptable Attack and a Trident, and they seem like a good choice for anything but unnaturally-high Defense enemies.
