AI Sucks?
 

Hey all,


Is there anyway to make the AI better? I've been playing for only a week and yet I completely destroy the AI. This is after I put the AI difficulty on "hard" and give the AI as much bonus as possible.

Frankly, this is a game-breaker for me. Are there any mods that fix the AI? Are there certain game settings that are more challenging?

Are you using the Balance Mod? It presents a better AI for challenging and unless I read the thread wrong v0.97 makes the AI even better.

I don't think any great AIs have been made yet but Kwok's balance mod has some better AIs. Your best option is to start/join a multiplayer game.

Right now the focus seems to be on identifying bugs and bug fixing. As the bugs are discovered and worked out of the game the AI improves.

Once we have a playable relatively bug free build then I suspect you will start to see considerable improvements in the AI.

Its a dissapointment to say the least that the game wasn't shpped in complete form, but thankfully with the help of players the game is making incredible leaps forward and many of us are very optomistic about the games future.

In the mean time we play, identify areas that need to be worked upon, improved, and fixed. These efforts are paying off with each new version update.

Stock AI is laughable. Go with the Balance Mod. If that still doesn't give a challenge, wait for the patch that should be out at the start of next week and the Balance Mod update to go with it.
