Fire on ship problem(?)
 

How do you fire on and destroy a ship that has 0 movement points? I have ordered a ship that had all its engines knocked out to be fired on and destroyed. There are other ships (4) of the same empire in the same sector that have movement points and no orders set. So why is it that the single ship without movement hasn’t been blown to bits by the other ships?

Also what’s the difference between core, escort and crap in the fleet window? I understand how they are different in the real world and in various games that use these concepts but there doesn’t appear to be any difference in the way the game operates.

I couldn't get that to work either. One of a zillion things not working right.

All these problems are getting so tedious! I just had an event that transported a ship to a remote section of the quadrant that this empire has never seen before. You know the Spatial Anomaly event. Well anyway now I can’t get to the ship by using the next ship button and it doesn’t show up in the ship list. However, at the end of each turn I get a message saying one ship doesn’t have orders!

On a lighter note how is Hawaii? You’ve been out there for how long now; a year right? So you have what two more to go? Have you picked out your next station yet?

Self-Destruct is busted too, no movement no boom!

Odd but that actually made me feel insulted… I’ll answer anyway. Yes I even moded the Crew Quarters to become an extra self-destruct incase the first one was a dud.

I had to ask.
I've seen a self destruct confirmation window pop up whenever I hit delete (because I want to clear orders, wacky hotkeys http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif), even though there isn't even a self destruct ability anywhere in my mod.

After my initial surprise I figured that was the very reason you were asking. Weird how you can select that option but when you order a ship to sentry then immediately try to cancel the order the “Cancel Order’ option won’t be available; from the right click options I mean. Anyway no harm no foul! I didn’t honestly believe you were being insulting; I was just surprised that I had read it like that. I also asked myself what mind frame I was in to even have a reaction like that in the first place.
