Background image in combat?
 

Is there a way to turn off the background image in the combat environment? All those stars sometimes make it difficult to see smaller ships and/or fighters.

For now I've been activating the weapons range indicator, but while all those big red circles make it easy to see where the ships are, they can also get in the way themselves if there are lots of ships in a small region.

I notice that you can turn off the background image in a solar system view, so I'm hoping it's just a matter of me not finding the appropriate toggle.
