#copyweapon patch coming soon - accepting requests
 
Although no #copyweapon command exists, I have found a way to do the equivalent through editing the "dominions3.exe" file. This way, it is now possible to mod eg, bows that shoot fireballs, etc.

I am now accepting requests for weapons to be copied (and number of times each). In a few days, I will implement any requests into a patched .exe file. Modders can then, eg:

#select weapon "Fire Breath Copy 1"
#name "Wand of Fireballs"
#ammo 12
etc...

I can do a similar process for #copyspell, etc, but beware that not all attributes are copied with these procedures, in the same way that #copystats on the Gladiator does not result in a new monster that disappears after one battle. It may be possible to add new spells such as "Send Slave to Unreason", but spells such as "Summon 1 Arch Angel and 10 Angels) remain impossible for now.

Wasn't there a somewhat similar program for Dom2, where by manipulating the .exe you were able to create modded .exe's that allowed much more freedom?
Whatever happened to that?
