Phantom Fleet?

So I assault a planet with Capture planet set and a loaded troop ship in the fleet. I notice that unlike SEIV the transport gets close enough to take some damage during the battle (not cool). During the initial combat I get the message land combat will follow, but it looks like my ships retreat, lost about 15 ships out of the original 45. But combat starts right back up, my ships attack, and presto I'm in the land combat phase. Overwhelming troop #'s easily capture the planet. Afterwards there are two fleets, one on the planet and one beside it. The one beside the planet has some damaged ships. I had a fleet just the other side of the wormhole with another repair ship so I fly it in to assist with repairs. I wait a turn or two and go to move all fleets over the newly captured planet. One doesn't move. I right click it, says it has 12 move points. Won't move. I go into the fleet menu, and there are no ships?! I've piddled around and am lost and confused, where'd my ships go?

Whacked the attachment since it's a known issue.

Re: Phantom Fleet?

It's a bug with the retreat order that divides the fleet into two. It's on the bug list and should be addressed in patch 4. You can avoid this for now by selecting your fleeing ships and just moving them to the edge of the combat ring with a manual move order.

OK, this is strange. I looked again and saw there was a fleet by the same name on the planet as the one beside the planet? I moved the fleet over the planet to the fleet beside the planet and let a turn go by, now I can move the fleet, but I swear it looks like there two of them moving. Now I have access to the fleet like I should and there is only one of them. Twilight zone stuff!

Nope your coke is good (now that doesn’t sound right http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif), as CPT Kwok said it is known issue.

I do wonder how he's planning to fix it, though.
