Help, anyone??? Help!!
Ok, I surrendered by accident.. but no worries as I had saved the game prior to ending the turn.
However, despite that I am now sending a Demand surrender message, I apparently saved my original 'surrender' message.. which I can't figure out how to deactivate.... How do you 'unsend' a message?? Mind you this is before the 'end turn' has ever been selected... so there must be a way to do this?? right??? Thanks, Javaslinger |
Re: Help, anyone??? Help!!
I think there's no way to undo a message. Unless you have an older savegame or an auto save somewhere, I think you are pretty much out of luck.

Ok, that pisses me off.. it's freakin' retarded....
Apparently it is finally my turn at last to be pissed at SEV... Javaslinger |
Re: Help, anyone??? Help!!
Auto-saves maybe? Unless you had them turned off...

Re: Help, anyone??? Help!!
I have the saved game file...
But the order to surrender is in the saved game file... So I should still be able to cancel that order since I have NOT ended the turn yet... right??? Javaslinger |

Unless something's changed, when SE does an auto-save, it keeps the last 10 turns that were auto-saved. You could load the save from that and try, since it appears messages are stored with partial saves and cannot be removed. The auto-save should remain at the start of the turn, though.

Re: Help, anyone??? Help!!
I'll live.. I have an autosave from a turn earlier, but I'm pissed that you can't frickin cancel a message you sent.... before you end the turn....
and I'm not happy with the surrender vs. Demand surrender messages.. not exactly clearly delineated.. and I think the surrender message could definately use a 'are you sure' pop up.... Javaslinger |
Re: Help, anyone??? Help!!
I did that too; man does it suck! During the demo I wanted to test out some of the new political features and was running 6 empires two of which were fighting. One surrendered to the other but I ordered the winner to surrender instead. Then when it came time I tried to fix the mistake by having the loser surrender to the winner. You can imagine that ended!
