D9 bless, curse and horror mark?

Ran a quick test with a blood 10 blessing using the cheap sacred flaggelants. Enemies who killed them got cursed sometimes... but a few also got horror marked. Many had just the curse, some had both, one got horror mark and no curse so it's separate abilities.

So Death Curse that B9 gives, means a sacred's killer gets cursed if he fails a mr save, and horror marked if he fails a harder one?

Might be fun against SC-pretenders before they get a bunch of mr items.

edit: was a typo above, I'm only talking about the blood bless here

Yes priests banishing my B10 blessed demons were getting horror marked in my tests too http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Edit: just to clarify I think it is the blood bless doing the horror marking as well as the cursing. Nothing to with death bless.

If the blood bless does horror markings as well as cursing then it would be a good tool against an opponent using SCs.

But that's a lot to spend on "just in case".

Deathcurse is great when you're fighting against nations like Van or Helheim, where they have very strong but very expensive troops, and you can combine that deathcurse with other things like death weapons, fire weapons, medallions of vengeance, poison, etc. and insure that whether or not your troops do well on a battlefield, ultimately you win the war by way of attrition
